Safaricom has officially announced the departure of two board members: Ory Okolloh and Francesco Bianco. According to a statement from acting company secretary Lisa Wambani, Okolloh’s term concluded on July 24, 2024, while Bianco is scheduled to step down on August 1, 2024. These decisions followed a detailed board meeting held on July 24, 2024.

Safaricom extended its gratitude to both Okolloh and Bianco for their impactful contributions during their tenures. Background on Departing Members

Ory Okolloh joined Safaricom’s board in February of the previous year, bringing her expertise to key strategic decisions. Francesco Bianco has been with Safaricom for the past four years, contributing his extensive experience to the telecommunications sector.
