Kaspersky Enhances Automated Security Awareness Platform with New AI-Focused Course Module

Kaspersky has unveiled a new AI-focused module within its Kaspersky Automated Security Awareness Platform (ASAP). This latest addition aims to equip professionals with essential skills to tackle the growing threats posed by AI-driven cyberattacks. The module is designed to meet the increasing demand for cybersecurity training related to artificial intelligence.

Course Structure and Content

The new module is structured into two levels, each comprising seven detailed lessons:

  • Level 1: Understanding AI-Driven Threats
This level focuses on how cybercriminals exploit AI technologies for malicious purposes. It covers topics such as the creation of fake videos (e.g., identity theft in online meetings), counterfeit photographs, voice impersonation, and fraudulent services facilitated by AI.
  • Level 2: AI Risks in Professional Settings
Level 2 addresses the risks associated with AI in the workplace. It includes discussions on the dangers of inputting confidential data into AI systems, decision-making errors, copyright issues, AI jailbreaks, biases in neural networks, parameter manipulation, and the hacking of AI systems.

Statement from Kaspersky

Tatyana Shumaylova, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Kaspersky Security Awareness, emphasized the importance of the new module: “As AI-driven cyber threats continue to evolve, it is critical that professionals are equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively mitigate these risks. Our AI-focused module in Kaspersky ASAP represents a significant step towards empowering users with a comprehensive understanding of today’s cyber threat landscape and strategies to counter them.”

Accessibility and Training Goals

The course is designed for users with no prior knowledge of AI, ensuring it is accessible while providing thorough training for robust cybersecurity practices. It aims to foster vigilance and caution, helping users combat emerging threats and strengthen their organization’s defensive perimeter.
