LG Appoints New President for East Africa

LG Electronics (LG) has announced the appointment of Donghun Lee as its new President for East Africa (EA), effective immediately. He takes over from Dongwon Lee, who has led the region since January 2023.

With over two decades of experience at LG, Donghun Lee brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. Most recently, he served as the Overseas Kitchen Division Leader at LG Headquarters in South Korea, where he was responsible for developing and executing strategies for the company’s kitchen appliances division in international markets. His deep understanding of strategic planning, market and product development, and cross-cultural communication will be instrumental in expanding LG’s presence in East Africa.

Lee’s extensive career at LG spans multiple international markets, having held key leadership roles such as Branch President in Guatemala, Home Appliances Product Manager in Mexico, and Home Appliances Product Leader in Chile. This diverse experience equips him to navigate the unique challenges and opportunities in East Africa, positioning LG for sustained growth in the region.

Operating from Nairobi, Kenya, Lee’s primary focus will be on driving sales and profitability by introducing innovative products and optimizing pricing strategies tailored to the East African market. Under his leadership, LG aims to enhance customer experience by maintaining high-quality standards and delivering excellent service. These efforts will reinforce LG’s competitive
