Visa has unveiled the top five finalists for the inaugural She’s Next Kenya program, who will vie for a grand prize of up to KES 2.5 million. The finalists selected are Busu Naturals, Cladfy, Code with Kids, Crafts with Meaning, and Timao Group.

She’s Next is part of Visa’s commitment to fostering an inclusive world where women business owners thrive. The program aims to support women-led small businesses through financial backing, training, and mentorship opportunities.
Recognition of Exceptional Talent
Eva Ngigi-Sarwari, Visa Kenya Country Manager, expressed enthusiasm about the quality of applicants and the achievements of the finalists. “These finalists have shown outstanding business acumen, innovation, and resilience, distinguishing themselves in a highly competitive field.”
Expansion of Support
Ngigi-Sarwari also highlighted the program’s broader impact, stating, “We are excited to welcome additional SMEs into our She’s Next community, offering them valuable business skills and strategies to elevate their enterprises.”
Partnership with Kayana Create
In collaboration with Kayana Create, a community of female entrepreneurs, an additional 15 SMEs will enter a capacity-building and mentorship program. This initiative aims to empower talented women entrepreneurs across various sectors, including sustainability, financial services, and STEM education.

Patricia Okelo, Co-founder of Kayana Create, emphasized She’s Next Kenya’s role in championing women entrepreneurs. “This program fosters innovation, creates economic opportunities, and empowers women entrepreneurs to excel,” she remarked.

The winner of the Visa She’s Next Kenya KES 2.5 million grant will be revealed during the culmination of the program on Wednesday, 10th July 2024. The competition continues to inspire determination and drive among participants, shaping the future of women-led businesses in Kenya.
