If you’re in the market for the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S24 Series in Kenya, now is the opportune time as these devices are currently available in the country.

Samsung introduced the flagship S24 series, including the Ultra, Plus, and regular models, during the first Unpacked event of the year, with pre-orders open until February 14th. Notably, 80% of the pre-orders were for the S24 Ultra.

In terms of specifications, the base and Plus models in Kenya come equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset, featuring 8GB of RAM for the former and 12GB for the latter. The Ultra model boasts the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 12GB of RAM. All three variants start with 256GB of storage, including the base S24.

Running on Android 14 and One UI 6.1, the S24 series promises 7 years of Android OS upgrades, potentially extending to Android 21. The Ultra model stands out with a titanium frame, while the base and Plus models have aluminum frames. All three offer IP68 ingress protection, wireless charging, and feature protective glass backs.

Display-wise, the models come with brighter screens, reaching 2600 nits. The Plus and Ultra models sport QHD+ resolution, while the base model has FHD+ resolution. Other common features include stereo sound, HDR10+, ultrasonic under-display fingerprint readers, Samsung DeX, Samsung Wireless DeX, AKG-tuned sound, Bluetooth 5.3 with UWB support, and WiFi 7.

Official pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is as follows:

  • Samsung Galaxy S24: Ksh 144,000 (8GB RAM + 256GB storage)
  • Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus: Ksh 155,000 (12GB RAM + 256GB storage)
  • Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus: Ksh 195,000 (12GB RAM + 512GB storage)
  • Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Ksh 229,000 (12GB RAM + 256GB storage)
  • Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Ksh 246,000 (12GB RAM + 512GB storage)

These devices are available for purchase at various locations, including Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung Brandcart Online Store, Safaricom Masoko, PhonePlace Kenya, FoneXpress, Tujengane Ventures, and Infogram.

Samsung has also collaborated with Absa, Watu Credit, and Badili Africa to offer financing options. ABSA credit card holders can make repayments starting from Ksh 13,000 per month. Additionally, Samsung offers trade-in options, topping up to Ksh 20,000 for the value of your trade-in phone when upgrading to any Galaxy S24 series smartphone.

For those who pre-ordered, Samsung is offering incentives such as a complimentary upgrade to the 512GB storage version for those who pre-ordered the 256GB storage version. Pre-order customers also gain access to Samsung Galaxy VIP services, offering same-day device repair. Furthermore, various providers are offering free data and other perks for pre-orders, including 45GB of free data for Safaricom pre-orders and 65GB of free data plus 50 minutes to other networks for JTL Fiber’s subscribers. Additionally, purchasing the S24 series provides access to Kenya Airways lounges through the Asante Rewards program, including a free preferred seating, extra legroom, 75% bonus miles for every flight, and a free extra bag.
