Roam, Kenya’s leading electric mobility company, has announced a new partnership with Greenspoon, an online retailer specializing in organic food. This collaboration aims to revolutionize the food delivery landscape in Kenya by integrating Roam’s advanced electric motorcycles with Greenspoon’s dedication to providing fresh, local, and sustainable produce.

Enhanced Delivery Efficiency

The partnership promises a significant enhancement in delivery efficiency. Greenspoon customers will now benefit from ultra-fast deliveries thanks to the Roam Air electric motorcycle. Roam Air is designed to deliver orders in under 99 minutes, a dramatic improvement from the previous delivery times of up to 3 hours. This upgrade allows customers to receive their pantry essentials and fresh produce much more quickly.

Roam Air Features and Capabilities

Roam Air comes equipped with a waterproof storage tank and a robust frame, capable of handling up to 15 Greenspoon orders per day. Its removable dual battery system and portable charger enable the motorcycle to be recharged at any standard power outlet, including within Greenspoon’s warehouse. This feature minimizes downtime and ensures uninterrupted service. Each Roam Air will be supplied with three batteries, providing a range of over 225 kilometers when fully charged. This setup allows Greenspoon riders to complete up to 195 deliveries daily.

Commitment to Sustainability

Greenspoon is focused on serving its growing customer base, currently numbering over 3,500 users through their mobile app and website. With Roam Air’s zero emissions and a carrying capacity of up to 220 kilograms, it aligns perfectly with Greenspoon’s mission to reduce carbon footprints while supporting local farmers and artisans. Additionally, the GreenspoonGo service will consolidate orders heading in the same direction to further lower carbon emissions.
