MDaaS Global, a healthcare startup launched in 2017 to provide diagnostic services to underserved communities in Nigeria, has expanded to 17 locations across 10 states. They’ve served over 275,000 patients and support over 1,300 healthcare facilities, companies, and HMOs through their BeaconHealth platform. The company secured a US$3 million Pre-Series A funding round, led by Aruwa Capital Management and Newtown Partners, bringing their total investment to US$6.8 million. The capital will be used to develop their technology platform, BeaconOS, and expand their healthcare network to all 36 states in Nigeria.
BeaconOS serves as the digital backbone of their healthcare network, facilitating streamlined healthcare delivery and integration with partner organizations. The company aims to develop new applications on the BeaconOS platform to address critical issues in the healthcare system. Adesuwa Okunbo Rhodes, founder of Aruwa Capital Management, expressed excitement about partnering with MDaaS Global, highlighting their growth, dedication to bringing quality diagnostics to high-need patients (especially women), and commitment to building gender-diverse teams.
