The Lead(H)er Fellowship, a joint initiative by Plan International, YouLead Africa, and the African Union Office of the Youth Envoy, has officially launched its fourth cohort. This program invites young female leaders, primarily from Eastern and Southern Africa and the Middle East, to participate in an enriching leadership development experience.
The fellowship’s name, Lead(H)er, underscores the belief that “she is a leader.” It aims to empower young women by enhancing their knowledge, skills, and aspirations in the key areas of politics, business and economics, and peace and security.
This initiative focuses on increasing the impact of young women at local and grassroots levels while providing a safe and supportive environment for those with limited exposure to regional and global opportunities. Participants with a passion for financial management, political engagement, and peacebuilding are encouraged to apply.
