Buycoins Pro Closure: Nigerian Crypto Marketplace Shuts Down Trading Service

Buycoins, a Nigerian platform where people trade cryptocurrency with each other, has decided to close down one of its services called Buycoins Pro. They sent a message to users saying they’ll be ending Buycoins Pro soon.

During this process, users can still take out their money for the next three months. Even though Buycoins Pro is closing, people can still trade using Buycoins’ Over-the-Counter service.

Buycoins thanked its users for their support and said they’re here to help with any issues during this time. They mentioned that Buycoins Pro was for more experienced traders, while their other service, Accrue, is still active.

Buycoins started in 2017 to help Nigerians easily buy, sell, and keep cryptocurrencies safe. Over time, it changed its services, and in 2021, it became part of a bigger company called Helicarrier.

Recently, many African crypto companies have faced challenges like closing down or reducing staff. But there’s hope that things will improve, especially with the expected rise in cryptocurrency value in 2024.
